Our Current Fundraisers

Here is what we have going on right now...feel free to take a look, and if you are inclined, to pass this on to anyone who might be interested.

We are raffling off a beautiful 32 inch, flat screen, LCD, HDTV by Panasonic   $10/raffle    3 for $25  Since paypal has been giving some families "problems" with raffles, please choose the blanket option, and I will send you the raffle number.

And finally, and ongoing  "Blessed By Adoption" car vinyls  new size  5X5'

We realize during these economic times, many families are raising funds to bring home their children, or just doing their best to make ends meet.  More than anything, prayers are appreciated.

Lessons Learned

My original title was going to be fundraising.  I started to write, and then had a few "car runs" to make to pick up and drop off kids.  While I was driving around, I really began thinking about how things have been coming together this time around.  I realized a lot of it had to do with putting myself out there, instead of keeping things all to myself (and sharing with just one or two people)  Glad I learned how good friends will offer to help, when they KNOW there is a need.  For this, I am truly grateful beyond words, and I hope those who I am talking about, know how much this means to me.  So, back to what I started a few days ago.

My ability to ask for help or accept help when needed, has never come easy.  In the past, I have done what was necessary to bring home our kids, as many others have done.  Sold my engagement ring, Richie's wedding band, gold, trinkets...things.  At the end of the day, that's all they were to me, just things.
This time, I am asking for help, but more importantly, for your prayers and support.  We have a few things planned, hoping to come up with a few more options..Whatever it takes.  I have some amazing friends, who have been brainstorming with me, and offering their help.  For that I am forever grateful.  Seems like me putting myself out there "differently" this time, has taught me some valuable lessons already.

Our News!

We are so excited to share with you our newest daughter, who is waiting for us in Guilin.  HengChun, will be turning 11 next month, and we are anxious to get her home.  The top picture is the first picture I saw, and the bottom one I recently received (which is taken a year later)
For my friends and family who know us, this is surprisingly "early" for us to share out news.  Part of the reason is b/c, hey, it's our last journey to China.  The other reason is because we will be fundraising to help raise some of the fees that we will need.
We are certainly blessed beyond belief to have the amazing family that is.. still many days like a dream, and YES, we are blessed to be on this roller coaster ride called adoption, one last time!

the ups and downs

Not one journey that is worth while, has ever been without some challenges, and this one is no different.  you would think that being "experienced" would make this a walk in the park...NOT.  I try my best to just re-adjust what I "thought should be" and get on with the "what can i do now?".  There is no choice, we need our children to come home, no matter their age, they have waited too long.
